Easily the most unique and interesting music find of recent memory. highly recommended. Eccentric, black metal vocals, synthy, energetic, drummy, creepy, cool music. Awesome.
Favorite track: O'discordia.
This is not what I thought I needed in 2020, but it is way more essential than I would have ever initially believed. Guignol Noir are not a new band, but what they are doing is, at least to these ears, fresh and innovative. For the sake of making some sort of comparison, imagine a darker, faster, and more ambitious version of Watain’s Casus Luciferi, though this is still a gross over generalization. In what has been a great year for black metal, Mantric Malediction is right up there! Ippocalyptica
Incredible album with a ton of depth & atmosphere that kept me immersed throughout the entire listen. Specific shoutout to the last track for its powerful bass & structure which immediately lead to multiple plays. bryce larocque
As Fire-Toolz, noise artist Angel Marcloid combines bubblegum synthpop with blood-curdling howls for a campy, disturbing, and perfectly executed peek beneath '90s early-digital nostalgia at the dark spaces of the Internet. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 21, 2017
This is absolutely stunning! What a musical triumph of epic proportions. Never before have I heard such a exquisite marriage of black metal and dungeon synth...not a standard case of synth track followed by metal track but both together at the same time and WOW is it impressive. Everything about this album has me in awe of the quality on display from the grandiose sound design of epic synth's and fast drums to the fantastic cover art by the incredibly talented Silvana Massa. Purchase the vinyl! panzerdivision
